After what seemed like an eternity, Smuckers.com’s circa 2000 website has finally been retired. Earlier this month is was replaced with a modern, optimized, professionally branded design by DigitalDay.

For posterity’s sake, here are a couple screen captures of the old 800 x 600  “Jonathan” design the new DigitalDay inherited back in 2001.

To help the folks at Reynolds Kitchen during the busy holiday cooking season, DigitalDay gave pieces and parts of ReynoldsKitchen.com a quick Holiday “Refresh.”

Leveraging the site’s existing content, we created a wider, cleaner, consumer-friendly, Home Page with cooking tips, recipes and the Talking Turkey Sidebar — answers to the most common cooking questions during the holiday period.

And here’s a capture of the the old Home Page:

A Facelift for Baco, A #1 Brand in the UK, in Two Weeks

November 19, 2008 Leave a comment

During a conference call with one of our newest client’s UK marketing manager, we were asked if there was anything we could do to support an upcoming online promotion for the Baco brand of cooking foils, papers and bags. The promotion would include joint marketing on a large consumer news site with an online entry at the Baco site and it would launch in two weeks.

Baco's old website was a simple, uninspiring listing of products and not much else.

We had a couple options. We could plug the promotion into the existing, uninspiring site which had no consumer appeal and very little content. Or, we could give the entire site a facelift and then add in the promotion —  a tall order in a two week window.

The client opted for the facelift and we took up the challenge. In typical DigitalDay fashion, we over-delivered and actually re-designed the entire site, incorporated the promotion, added in a recipe section, created an online coupon and launched a completely new site to meet the deadline.

Kudos to everyone at DigitalDay who went above and beyond to help give Baco a fresh, engaging new online brand.

Taking the Wraps Off

After almost two weeks of daily phone calls, our UK client is curious to see what we look like. So . . . I snapped a couple pictures during the production meeting we just finished and thought “why not just  I’d throw it up on the blog.”

So here’s a good part of your team Casper.
