DigitalDay Expands Reach by Joining TAAN

Cleveland, OH. — DigitalDay, an award-winning Web Design and Interactive Marketing and Communications firm in the Cleveland, OH suburb of Peninsula, has joined the Transworld Advertising Agency Network (TAAN).

According to Partner Mark Vitullo, TAAN membership will enable the firm to better address international marketing challenges by partnering with sister agencies in other nations.

“With ongoing exposure and access to rigorously screened agency affiliates throughout Europe, Asia and Australia, we can deliver global solutions informed by local knowledge and implemented with the help of local resources,” Vitullo said. “That’s a major benefit for our clients, as they increasingly look to us for international programs.”

Even before joining TAAN, DigitalDay managed and supported several global web sites for international brands like GE Plastics, The J.M. Smucker Company and Mars, Incorporated.

According to Vitullo, “The more you understand the challenges and opportunities of international marketing, the more you recognize the value of local perspectives with regards to culture, regulatory environments, systems, media, and resources.”

According to TAAN President, Gary Lessner, the organization is extremely choosy about its members. Only established, financially secure agencies with strong client bases are considered. And, while TAAN typically limits membership to one agency per region, it made an exception for DigitalDay. “We already have a member ad agency in the Cleveland area but we accepted DigitalDay because they are a pure “interactive” agency and do not compete with our current memeber,” said Lessner. “In fact, DigitalDay is the first all interactive agency to become a TAAN member and will add value to our membership thanks to their specific set of online marketing capabilities. This is a very talented agency that complements both our domestic and international member base. We are delighted to have them with us.”

The TAAN website describes the organization as an association of “carefully selected, highly talented, independently operated marketing communications agencies in the U.S., Europe and Asia/Pacific.” The site goes on to say, “the TAAN idea originated in 1936 in the U.S. and spread to Europe and the Pacific Rim in the 1970’s. Today there are TAAN member agencies operating in more than 45 markets worldwide.”

During its 10-year history, DigitalDay has designed and developed web sites and online marketing campaigns for such clients as GE Plastics, The Sherwin-Williams Company, J.M. Smucker Company, American Greetings, Mars, Incorporated and Rubbermaid, to name a few. Its current portfolio can be viewed at http://www.ddcg.com.

The 15-person agency is owned by partners Mark Vitullo, creative director, and Shane Geisheimer, technology director.
