Firefox Surpasses IE 6 to Become Top Browser Version

According to W3C Schools Browser Statistics Report, Firefox (35.4%) became the most used web browser version in September of ‘07, surpassing IE 6 (34.9%). While IE 6 is declining, IE 7 (20.8%) is gradually climbing. Combining IE 5, 6 and 7, Microsoft still has more than half the browser market share at 57.2%.

  • 35.4% — Firefox
  • 34.9% — IE 6
  • 20.8% — IE 7
  • 1.6% — Safari
  • 1.5% — Opera
  • 1.5% — IE 5
  • 1.2% — Mozilla
